Enom Is Migrating all Customers to Hover from September 2019

Tucows Inc. the owner of Enom will be migrating all accounts to Hover. According to the FAQ page below the transfer began in September 2019. Hover has been in business since 2008 and is based in Toronto, Canada.

Hover, like Enom, is owned and operated by Tucows  Both during and after the migration, and you’ll have access to a dedicated support team for your domains and mailboxes. The company promises that the migration process will be seamless, with your products and account information brought over by Hover without your involvement.

Here’s what will be staying the same:

    • Account Information: Your account information will be transferred over seamlessly to Hover including your account email contacts and account information. Management of all of your account information and products (domains and mailboxes) will be moved to Hover.

    • DNS: There won’t change any of your DNS settings, and you should not experience any downtime.

    • Domain Expiry Dates: All expiry dates for your domain names will remain the same.

Here’s what will be different:

Control Panel: After the migration, your services will no longer be accessible through Enom. During the migration, Hover will send you your login information to manage your services using the Hover control panel. Any additional domains or mailboxes you wish to purchase can be purchased through Hover.

Domain Pricing: Domain name pricing will vary based on the type of domain you bought. Please see our domain pricing page for details. Volume discounts will automatically be applied based on the number of domain names you own.

ID Protect (WHOIS Privacy): Hover provides Whois Privacy for free on all eligible domains. If your domain has ID Protect enabled at Enom, we’ll continue to provide it after the migration to Hover. Your Whois information will be private throughout the migration.

Improved Customer Support: You can expect improved customer service as a result of this migration. Hover has friendly and knowledgeable support staff that will provide full support for all of your services. You can reach our team in the following ways:

Payments: Your billing statements going forward will either show “HOVER” or “TUCOWS INC” as the merchant, depending on your payment method.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. We will send an email one week prior to the migration to inform you of the exact migration date.

  2. On the day of the migration, Hover will email your account information including your Hover username.

  3. Reset your Hover password by visiting https://www.hover.com/signin and supplying the username Hover provided in the welcome email.

  4. Enter your account’s billing information into your Hover account.

  5. Browse through your new Hover account and let us know if you have any questions or if we can help in any way!

Tucows also recently changed its branding, and introduced a logo and website. The two cows that were prominent in Tucows’ old logo have been retired, although the stylized W gives a subtle nod to them.
